Part of the Arena Racing Company (ARC), Wolverhampton Racecourse is a unique multipurpose venue welcoming over 120,000 guests to over 70 fixtures each year on our All-Weather, Tapeta track. The venue offers more than just racing, with an on-site Holiday Inn Hotel, multipurpose conference and events facilities as well as a multitude of restaurants, including the award winning Horizons Restaurant.

Wolverhampton Racecourse are currently recruiting for a very exciting job, seeking a driven Hotel Revenue Manager to work within the existing team.  The main responsibility of this role is to grow the business at the hotel through proactive selling, rate & occupancy management and the effective conversion of all bedroom enquiries. You will also take ownership of consortia rates (submitting and loading) and respond and support Sales on RFP’s as required. You will also be required to update ‘demand and needs’ pricing calendar to maximise revenue and sales from the Meetings & Events team.

The successful candidate will be proactive, accurate and highly motivated with a positive attitude towards work. The candidate should also possess significant experience in the hotel industry with knowledge of reservations and revenue management.

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Educated to at least GCSE or equivalent
  • Proven track record in a similar role showing good progression

Brighton Racecourse has an exciting new opportunity for an Events Coordinator to join the team. This role would be suited for someone who has similar experience and looking for their next challenge in Events or a recent graduate who is interested in starting a career in the Events sector.

The Events Coordinator will be responsible for the administration and coordination of events at the Racecourse. Including invoicing, obtaining relevant paperwork, payments and feedback. This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller looking for their next role. Within the scope of work you will be responsible for the accuracy and consistency of management accounts and reporting. Clean and organize items stored in laundry room, supply/storage closets, linen room, and/or uniform room. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.

You will replace dirty linens and towels with clean items,   make beds and fold towels. Clean bathrooms, remove rubbish, dirty linen, and room service items. Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order. Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances. Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings, and vacuum carpets.

Hours of work:                     48 hours per week, 5 over 7 days.

Lingfield Park Resort is seeking a driven Chef de Partie to work within the existing kitchen team.

We are a unique resort based over 450 acres and comprise of one of the UK’s busiest racecourses. Set beside the racecourse is the 4* Marriott franchise hotel with 116 luxurious rooms, where guests are able to stay in the hotel with magnificent views over the racecourse, golf course and surrounding countryside. The successful candidate will be proactive, accurate and highly motivated with a positive attitude towards work. The candidate should also possess kitchen and supervisory experience, preferably within a hotel setting. The main focus of this role will be to maintain and improve the standard of food preparation and service of the kitchen. They will also undertake training and coaching of junior staff and Commis Chefs. They will also supervise breakfast shift as and when required.

Key responsibilities for the role will include:

  • To supervise and assist with the food preparation and mise-en-place required for the breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
  • To assist in the ordering of food service materials and equipment to cope with the anticipated business.
  • To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times in all parts of the kitchen and all machinery and equipment that is used
  • To undertake any duties as directed, from time to time, by Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Previous kitchen experience, preferably in hotels
  • Excellent food safety knowledge
