FREE Wolverhampton Racecourse admission for the start of the new British All-Weather Championships

Oct 18 2013

Arena Racing Company (ARC) is offering FREE Grandstand admission, if arranged in advance, at Wolverhampton Racecourse on Saturday, October 26, to mark the first day of the new British All-Weather Championships.

The easiest way to take advantage of this great free offer is to go to Wolverhampton Racecourses website, www.wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk, with bookings having to be made by 3pm on Wednesday, October 23. There is a limit of six free tickets per household / booking for this twilight fixture with a first race time of 5.45pm. The last of the seven races is due off at 8.45pm.

The free ticket offer to the Grandstand Enclosure is being widely promoted and coincides with Great British Racings national student raceday. Students, booking in advance, pay £10 and receive a bonus package which includes free Grandstand admission, a racecard and £12 worth of food and drink vouchers.

Melissa Armstrong, ARCs Director of Marketing, commented: We want to celebrate the start of the new British All-Weather Championships by having a tremendous atmosphere at Wolverhampton Racecourse on Saturday, October 26.

We have written to 10,000 local households, the Birmingham Mail and our media partner At The Races are highlighting the offer and everyone on our databases has been contacted.

We are particularly keen to encourage involvement from the local community and hope this free offer means plenty of people who have not been racing at Wolverhampton experience this great raceday.

The racecourse will have a new look because of all the branding for the British All-Weather Championships and the four partners, 32Red.com, bookmakers.co.uk, Coral and Ladbrokes.

ARC has invested over £2 million extra into All-Weather racing prize money at its three tracks - Wolverhampton, Lingfield Park and Southwell - for the British All-Weather Championships which culminate on Good Friday (April 18, 2014) with the £1-million Finals at Lingfield Park.

Wolverhamptons race programme on Saturday, October 26, benefits from three Class Two races with excellent prize money, which are among a total of 58 upgraded contests at Britains four All-Weather tracks including Kempton Park.

The Wolverhampton races are a £19,000 seven-furlong handicap sponsored by Ladbrokes (Mile category) (5.45pm), a £19,000 handicap over nearly 14 furlongs backed by 32Red.com (Marathon category) (6.45pm) and a £14,000 five-furlong nursery sponsored by 32Red.com (Three-Year-Olds category) (8.15pm).

Horses qualify for the six championship races on All-Weather Championships Finals Day by running in a minimum of three races at Britains four All-Weather tracks between October 26 and April 12.

The other route is to win one of the 16 WIN & YOURE IN races which give guaranteed free entry into a specific race on Finals Day - the first of these contests is at Lingfield Park on October 31.

Therefore, the first chance to begin qualifying is at Wolverhampton on October 26 - the start of an exciting new era in All-Weather Racing.
