ARC has appointed Susannah Gill as Director of External Affairs. Susannah is currently Betfair’s Head of Public Affairs (UK & Ireland) and will take up her new role at ARC in March.
As Director of External Affairs Susannah will join the Board of ARC where she will support the Board in all horseracing industry matters, as well as advising on policy and strategy issues.
Tony Kelly, ARC Managing Director, said: “We are delighted Susannah has agreed to join us in this newly created role. Operating nearly 40% of the UK Fixture list requires us to work and engage with Racing’s stakeholders at many levels. Susannah has shown in her role for Betfair that she is eminently capable of that and, together with her passion for racing, I’m sure she will be invaluable to the Group moving forward. ”
Susannah Gill said “After five great years at Betfair I am thrilled to have the chance to join the team at ARC. As Britain’s largest racecourse group ARC has a crucial role to play in the evolution of the sport and I look forward to the opportunities and challenges this offers in the years to come.”
