ARC has appointed David Thorpe as the company’s new Non-Executive Chairman. David will take up his new role at ARC with immediate effect.
David has a wealth of experience within racing having been Chairman of the Racecourse Association between 2004 and 2009, which included serving on the Horserace Betting Levy Board, and was a member of the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) between 2004 and 2007. He was a part of the committee that oversaw the modernisation of British Racing and formation of the BHA, Racing Enterprises Limited and Racing for Change.
David was Chairman of Arena Leisure plc from May 2010 overseeing its sale to Aldersgate Investments in March 2012.
In addition to his experience in racing David runs his own small stud farm, Bobble Barn Stud, breeding horses for the National Hunt and Flat and has been a racehorse owner for many years.
