Arena Racing Company (“ARC”) is pleased to announce Martin Cruddace as its new Chief Executive.
Martin will join ARC on 17 August and is taking over from existing Managing Director Tony Kelly. As a qualified solicitor Martin brings over 25 years of experience of legal, regulatory and commercial matters across a range of industries to his new role at ARC.
Most recently Martin was Chief Executive of the Association of British Bookmakers and before that he spent nearly a decade as a senior executive of Betfair.
As Betfair’s Group Corporate Affairs and Legal Director Martin dealt with all UK and European regulatory matters and negotiated a £40 million five year commercial deal with British Racing. Martin’s last year at Betfair was spent in the US as acting Chief Executive of the horserace betting TV Channel TVG.
Martin is a member of the Racehorse Owners Association with a share in several racehorses, including a share in the Martin Pipe trained Big Occasion who won the Midlands National at Uttoxeter Racecourse in 2013.
