The Racing Partnership (“TRP”) has agreed a long term media rights deal with Paddy Power Betfair.
This will see all Paddy Power Betfair’s shops in the UK and Ireland take TRP content, which will see fixtures from TRP racecourses, including the all-weather racecourses at Lingfield Park, Southwell and Wolverhampton, in its schedule from 1 January 2017. The UK fixtures will be added to the racing from South Africa which the TRP channel has been broadcasting since the service launched at the beginning of September. The channel will include meetings from all 15 Arena Racining Company owned-racecourses and seven independent racecourses from January 2018.
The deal with Paddy Power Betfair brings the total number of UK and Irish betting shops (Licensed Betting Offices – “LBOs”) who are signed up to TRP to more than 1,800 shops. Larger independent LBOs who are taking the service include Boylesports, Jenningsbet and Stan James, with more recent signings including McLeans, Mark Jarvis and Toal’s bookmakers
