August has been a thrilling and busy month for Arena Racing Company (ARC) as they staged a highly successful concert tour for the hugely popular Scouting For Girls award winning British pop band. The whirlwind tour began at Doncaster and continued around the country to six of the Arena Racing Company tracks including Chepstow, Brighton, Wolverhampton, Newcastle and Royal Windsor.
Around 40,000 people have flocked to the racecourses to enjoy Scouting For Girls concerts which have taken place after racing as part of an all-inclusive racing/concert ticket. The feedback has been tremendous with many fans becoming new racegoers and thoroughly enjoying the entire experience.
The band, including lead singer Roy Stride who formed Scouting For Girls in 2005 with childhood friends, Peter Ellard and Greg Churchhouse, has sold more than two million records. Many people attending commented on what great entertainers they are and the fantastic atmosphere on each occasion.
Liz Hobbs, MBE commented, “The Scouting for Girls tour has been a great success and the band have really enjoyed playing at each racecourse. As always it has been a fantastic experience working with both the band and the Arena Racing Company, and we look forward to many more great shows. “
