Terms and Conditions

Arena Leisure Racing Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 05960353 and with registered address at 4^th Floor, Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP (“Arena Racing Company”) are offering entrants the chance to win 25% of the Owner’s winnings earned by Royal Justice for a year plus Annual Membership at their preferred ARC racecourse by participating in a giveaway (the “Giveaway”).

The Winner will get the chance to experience the highs of owning a racehorse (without all the expenses!) and receive a 25% share of the Owner’s winnings earned by ‘Royal Justice’ in 2025 (paid in vouchers to ARC racecourses). In addition, the Winner will receive a 2025 Annual Membership at their preferred ARC racecourse, where they can attend every single ARC fixture in 2025 and make the best of the annual membership benefits offered at their chosen racecourse.

Trained by Scott Dixon, Royal Justice is a lightly raced 3-year-old by Inns of Court. A large, scopey filly with plenty of racing ahead of her. She has been afforded a break to grow and strengthen since her sale in October and looks an exciting prospect ahead of her next campaign.

The Winner will have the chance to attend all fixtures that Royal Justice is declared to run in as an owner and to receive 25% of all winnings that the horse receives(paid in vouchers to ARC racecourses). The 25% share will be paid out monthly as ARC gift vouchers, that can be used to for full or part-payment for any online ticket, restaurant, hospitality or annual membership package across 16 racecourses across the country. 

To enter the Giveaway, simply visit https://www.arenaracingcompany.co.uk/competitions/share-in-a-racehorse-and-annual-membership (the “Website”) and enter your name, preferred ARC racecourse and email address. A winner (the “Winner”) will be chosen at random from all entries received by Monday 27 January 2025.

Details:

• Prize: One Winner will be randomly selected on January 27^th 2025 to receive the equivalent of a 25% share of the Owner’s winnings earned by the racehorse ‘Royal Justice’ in 2025, as well as a 2025 Annual Membership to one of ARC’s 16 racecourses.
• The “Owner’s winnings” are the calculated in accordance with the BHA’s Rules of Racing (https://rules.britishhorseracing.com/#!/book/34/chapter/s3434-stakes-prize-money-code/content?section=s3456-distribution-of-prize-money) on Distribution of Prize Money. In simple terms all winnings are distributed between the owners, trainers, jockeys, stables, valets together with a small percentage to some industry schemes.
• The share of Royal Justice’s winnings in 2025 will be paid out to the Winner as gift vouchers which can be used at Arena Racing Company racecourses only. These Gift Vouchers will be issued monthly. Gift vouchers can be used as full or part-payment for tickets, hospitality, restaurants and annual membership.
• Vouchers will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue and must be redeemed by within that 12-month period.
• The share of winnings will NOT be paid in cash.
• The Winner will also receive additional benefits that would usually only come with actually owning a racehorse, including:
  • Owner’s tickets to attend relevant fixtures when Royal Justice is declared to race, by arrangement directly with the Trainer and
  • Stable visits by arrangement directly with the Trainer
• The Winner will be subject to no training fees or costs.
• If Royal Justice is injured or otherwise physically unable to continue racing for a significant amount of time in 2025, ARC will transfer the Prize to another similar horse.
• Entry Deadline: All entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on Sunday 26 January 2025.
• Notification: The Winner will be contacted by Arena Racing Company by Monday 27^th January via the email address provided at entry. The Winner must respond by January 31, 2025, 11:59 PM (GMT) to claim the prize.

Prize Conditions:

• The Prize is non-transferable, cannot be resold, and there is no cash alternative. Arena Racing Company reserve the right to substitute any part of the Prize for an alternative of equal or greater value if necessary.

Eligibility and Entry Requirements:

• No third-party or bulk entries are allowed. If Arena Racing Company suspects any entrant of attempting to manipulate the entry process (e.g., using multiple email accounts or other unfair methods), that entrant will be disqualified, and their entry will be void.
• Employees/personnel (or their families) of Arena Racing Company or Seat Unique and its companies are not eligible to enter the Giveaway. Entrants must be over 18s and UK residents only.
• Incomplete entries will be void. Unsuccessful entries will not be notified.

Prize Terms:

• The Prize must be accepted as offered. No changes to prize will be permitted once confirmed, except in cases of unforeseen circumstances, which may include an Event of Force Majeure. In these cases, Arena Racing Company reserves the right to verify the winner’s identity and eligibility.

Additional Conditions:

• By entering the Giveaway, entrants are confirming they are happy to receive marketing information from Arena Racing Company and its 16 racecourses. Entrants will have the option to opt out of marketing emails.
• By entering the Giveaway, entrants agree to participate in reasonable publicity if selected as the Winner. This may include the use of their name, photograph, or video content in marketing materials for Arena Racing Company at no additional cost.
• Arena Racing Company reserve the right to disqualify any entries or entrants that it deems to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
• Arena Racing Company do not accept any liability for damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by entrants as a result of entering the Giveaway or accepting the Prize, except in cases of negligence or fraud on its part.
• Entrants must all comply with Arena Racing Company’s terms and conditions, in particular the terms and conditions of entry available at https://www.arenaracingcompany.co.uk/terms-and-conditions.

Changes to the Giveaway:

• Arena Racing Company reserve the right to amend, cancel, or withdraw the Giveaway at any time due to circumstances outside its control.
• If technical issues prevent the proper functioning of the Giveaway, Arena Racing Company may modify or suspend the Giveaway.

General Legal Information:

• In case of any dispute, the decision of Arena Racing Company or Seat Unique is final and binding.
• Neither Arena Racing Company nor Seat Unique shall be responsible for lost or misdirected messages, unavailable network connections, failed incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, online failures, hardware, software or other communications failures or circumstances affecting receipt or entrants ability to participate in the Giveaway or if any racing or any other event applicable to the Giveaway is cancelled for any reason or any circumstances affecting a Winner’s ability to access or use a Prize or for any Event of Force Majeure.

* "Event of Force Majeure" means: a fire, flood, lightning, storm, earthquake or other similar geological or metrological event or condition or Act of God, national emergency, diseases, epidemic, pandemic, abandonment, cancellation or transfer of fixture, war, act of terrorism, riot or criminal act or damage, strike, lockout or other industrial action not involving Arena Racing Company or Seat Unique’s employees (to the extent such failure is beyond the reasonable control of Arena Racing Company or Seat Unique) or any other event beyond the control of Arena Racing Company or Seat Unique. The entrant acknowledges and agrees that any disruption caused by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) or similar diseases (such as the temporary or permanent closure of the venues) shall constitute an Event of Force Majeure.

• The Giveaway and these Terms and Conditions, and any disputes arising therefrom, shall be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
• Any personal information that entrants share with Arena Racing Company will be kept secure and only used in line with these Terms and Conditions unless the entrant has opted into future marketing from Arena Racing Company in which case the use of their personal information will be done in accordance with the privacy policies of Arena Racing Company which can be found on the website. By entering the Giveaway, entrants agree that their information may be used by Arena Racing Company to administer the Giveaway and in accordance with their privacy policy.
