ARC Sponsorship Update

Following consultation with our bookmaker partners and sponsors, Arena Racing Company (“ARC”) can confirm that, from 1 March 2022, race titles across the company’s venues will no longer promote online casino products.  Both ongoing and new bookmaker partnerships at ARC venues will no longer utilise sponsored race titles to cross promote such products towards consumers.

ARC Chief Executive Martin Cruddace said, “We are always hugely grateful for the support of race partners across both our horse and greyhound racing venues.  This is a small, but positive step forward for both us as a business as well as our bookmaker partners, as we utilise the considerable reach that our sport achieves to promote responsible betting on racing, and other sports, specifically.

“We would like to thank our current partners for supporting this new approach, which will come in to place from the beginning of March. Many of our partners have been doing so with their race titles for quite some time already as they look to promote sponsored races, or other events within the sport to their customer base. 

“Racing and betting have always had a symbiotic relationship, and rely hugely on each other.  We hope that this small shift in our approach to marketing and sponsorship will help that positive relationship continue on towards the future.”
